Mathew has been Head of Marketing for Canon Europe’s Professional Print portfolio since February 2019. He is responsible for strategic marketing and product management supporting sales organisations across EMEA. Prior to his latest assignment Mathew held roles in Applications Development for Graphic Arts and AEC & Manufacturing customer channels and as EMEA Marketing Manager for Canon’s Wide Format Printing business. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise having worked in the printing, packaging and imaging sectors for more than 25 years.
Prior to joining Canon Europe, Mathew co-founded a tech start-up in 2001 that developed inkjet printing, CAD and prototyping systems for packaging, which were sold in more than 20 countries worldwide. He began his career in technical design working for a packaging and print manufacturing business. Subsequently he worked for a leading technology provider during the early part of the original pre-press ‘shift-to-digital’ era.
Passionate about print and the value it can bring, his background in creative, technology and marketing functions has given him a keen appreciation for customer need and the ability to deliver innovative solutions to help business growth. In 2018 he co-founded a print business that designs and manufacturers interior décor for care homes, specifically developing décor and wayfinding to enhance the emotional wellbeing of residents in care.
